Hey Jessie! It’s Syd. I wanted to let you know that I committed to Cornell. I wanted to thank you for EVERYTHING you did for me this summer. I can’t even begin to thank you. You not only helped me recover, but also expanded my skill as a play after getting up to speed after recovery. You are a great coach whether it’s working on my skating or keeping me positive. Thanks for always keeping my head up this summer and I can’t wait to see you soon! I’m looking forward to next summer. Thank you so much for your time and everything!
-Sydney Breza, current Shattuck-St Mary’s skater and Cornell University (NCAA DI) recruit

“Thanks for all your extra help with Mike he was sos excited to get to NY and make the Elite League.  You have played such a big part in developing him on and off the ice!”
– Kathleen Vorlicky, hockey parent

First, I want to thank you for helping my boys. I have to say in the last two months I have seen huge improvements in their skating and shots on the ice.

Brady’s team ended up winning the District Tournament and are off to Regions this weekend. We played the other Edina team three times during the tournament – and I had many friends and Brady’s old coaches that had not seen him skate in awhile comment to me on how great he looks on the ice. Additionally, he scored a few goals throughout the tournament – and my dad who is my boys biggest hockey fan and has helped drive them to many morning lessons with you – told me that they were “Ness” goals and credited you for the amazing shots and goals he scored. I feel Brady’s confidence is back after his injury and he really is progressing – I credit a lot of that success to the skills you have taught him – so thank you!

Then there is Peter – I am sure he will tell you about his “sweet” break away goal he scored last night. His coach has moved him up to forward for a few games and he is loving it – and his shot has greatly improved as well as his skating – so thanks again.

Hey Andy,

Thank you again for the time you spend with our boys. Besides any athletic adventure with their dad, you are their very next favorite activity in their life. They absolutely adore you! Thank you!

– Mali Wenkus

Hi Andy,

I have been meaning to write to you for a long time…

Alex absolutely WORSHIPS YOU! He gives all the credit to all you have taught him during the last few years.

Even thought Thursday mornings are a bit chaotic in our house with driving my daughter to school, Alex to hockey, etc, he NEVER complains and as tired as he is, he learns a lot. We really appreciate all of your patience and skills!

A few post games comments were “Andy taught me this…” “Mom, do you know that shot I had? Andy had a drill like that for me and really helped”… as a mom, I REALLY APPRECIATE your dedication to Alex! Thank you so much!

In gratitude,

–  Alessandra (AND ALEX) Orthey

Hi Andy,

I think we probably better just wait until the hockey season is over to resume Joie’s lessons with you. I hate to do that because I swear many of her goals scored are by doing exactly the techniques she works on with you!! I’ll see her when she scores and think – “That’s exactly what she practices with Andy!” Ha!
